The MEMFAST "MEMSERT" (Swaging Insert) is designed to provide load bearing threads in thick materials and blind holes. The insert features a mechanical locking mechanism for applications requiring a higher push through and pull out resistance. The Swaging Insert only needs access from one side of the workpiece and can be installed in pre-coated or post-painted panels without damaging the surface. Its low profile head allows a near flush fit to the panel. They are ideal in light duty sheet metal applications into thicker materials where other inserts may not be suitable.

MEMFAST Threaded Inserts are single piece, precision turned parts with both external and internal metric coarse threads and are manufactured from mild steel 230M07-PB. These inserts allow permanent threads to be produced in a wide range of components.

All of our threaded inserts have a CR3 clear plating which is RoHS compliant - this is now the preferred finish across all industries as there is no chromium content as is the case with zinc and yellow finish.

MEMFAST Self Tapping Threaded Inserts are single piece, precision turned parts with both external and internal metric threads and are manufactured from mild steel 230M07-PB. These inserts allow permanent threads to be produced in a wide range of components and materials.

Features & Benefits include:

Tough and durable due to their substantial wall thickness, their use can reduce the thread size required due to the insert's large effective shear surface. This could save material as well as reduce cost and weight.

They eliminate the need for close tolerance holes required for tapping into the base material, damaged tools and low productivity - they need no special installation tool nor the time consuming process associated with installing a wire thread insert. Holes do not need to be separately tapped as the groove will cut its own thread so long as the correct diameter tolerances for the material and the insert are adhered to.

MEMFAST Plastic Rivets are made from POM (polyoxymethalene), a material with excellent rigidity, high impact toughness and excellent resistance to abrasion, creep and solvents. Better thermal stability than homopolymer with higher continuous use at about 100°C in air compared 80°C (homopolymer equivalent).
